Why hello everyone?
How goes things back in the United States of America? I sure hope that all goes well. Well, this week passed pretty quickly, now that I look back at it! But this week was one of those weeks that passed pretty quickly, but I don't feel like a lot has happened! I don't know if thats because I have been here for six months, or that actually not as much has happened this week..so I will try my best to really tell all of my stories for the week!
Lets see..last week we saw A a bunch, because he has tons of time all of a sudden, as he is recovering in his home! Our first visit was last tuesday. He was in good spirits, but he is a guy that loves to do things, so sitting inside all day for the next 2 weeks or so will be very difficult for him. Oh, so last tuesday, we went to Liege again for district meeting! I dont know why I like Liege so much, but is really a great city, and everyone seems to be so nice! Liege got a senior missionary couple, so we have been having district meeting at their appartment. And last week Sister Redd made some real American sloppy joes. They were super good. That was a random fact, but I thought that you would like to hear that..haha. Then last wednesday, we saw Antonio again! And this was quite the visit..so first when we walked in, he wanted to sing with us. So as we were about to start, a lady called him, and he sang in Italian for some reason..but was super good! The true Italian voice! Then we started singing our hymns in French..and something completely changed. I guess it can be pretty hard to sing in a different language! Man, I love that guy. He has such a big desire to follow God. But right as we finished the lesson, these two guys came with a wheelchair for him. And Antonio being Antonio, he tried to share the gospel with these two guys from Haiti. After quite the conversation, Antonio gave them a book of mormon, they exchanged numbers, and said they were going to meet up and have lunch one day! What a cool guy! Lets see..then this last thursday we have a family home evening at the church! We are trying to get those started each week, but havent gotten the word out too much yet. So this last week we had a couple of people show up. It was fun. This past week, we also spent a lot of time going to less actives members houses. We have a huge ward list, but not as many come to church..So this past week was spent going to all the addresses that live a little bit further out than the others.. Then on sunday, Antonio asked us to go to pick him up and help him get to church! Even with his pain, he still wanted to come to church! So when we arrived at his house, he said, "ah, my two gaurdian angels! Thank you." We shook his hand, and when he grabbed my hand, I knew what was coming..He shook my hand, pulled it in towards his face, held it there, and kissed it. I dont know why he enjoys kissing my hand, maybe its an Italian thing. ;) Well thats really almost all that I can think of for this week..Im sorry that this weeks email is a little bit shorter! Thank you all very much! I love you all! Have a great week!
